SADIA SAFA

Hello! I’m Sadia (she/her) and I am running for University Senator! I am a sophomore at CC studying Political Science and History having originally been from Queens, NYC. As both the Race and Ethnicity Representative on the Student Council and the Co-Chair of Inclusion for the Events Council, I got to see just how vibrant our campus is by working with diverse students across all schools to uplift the voices of marginalized groups. I’ve worked on the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force on many projects, from creating a VP of Equity to planning out extra food packages for fasting students during Ramadan. As an FGLI student, I plan on directing my focus toward policy initiatives by working more closely with the Senate on matters of representation and inter-school mentorship. When I am not busy finishing up papers, you can find me food-hopping around the city or  binge-watching k-dramas with a bowl of ramen.
